How Google Drive is used

With authorization from the Google account holder, the utility uses Google Drive to upload encrypted backup objects, inspect their presence and associated file information, retrieve authorized objects for verification or recovery, and manage eligible backup files under operational procedures.

The documented OAuth scope is https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. This scope provides access to files created or specifically authorized for the application; it is not unrestricted access to the account’s entire Drive.

Encryption and operational limits

Supported backup payloads are encrypted locally with age before upload to Google Drive. File metadata, including names, sizes, object identifiers and timestamps, may still be processed by Google Drive.

A successful upload or metadata check alone does not guarantee that every historical recovery point, image or customer record can be restored in all circumstances. Recovery assurance depends on the checks actually completed for the relevant backup set.

Who can use it

Only authorized operators may configure or use the utility. Public visitors cannot create backup accounts or grant Google access through this website.
